Founded in 1974 in an old munitions plant, the Torpedo Factory Art Center is home to the nation’s largest collection of working-artists’ open studios under one roof. This is a popular destination for over 500,000 visitors annually, and the Center even helps sustain the arts in the local area and offers a host of family programs and facilities. Here, you can observe the creative process, ask questions, explore and learn more about your favorite artistic mediums.
Plan a visit for Second Thursday Art Night on Thursday December 8, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. where you can enjoy a special after-hours event to browse open studios, interact with artists and take part in the special programming including a Winter Lights celebration. Kids will love the different classes available where they can have fun while honing their creative side. No matter your age, you will love a visit to the Torpedo Factory Art Center.
