Your social media feed may not need any more gorgeous photos of this year’s cherry blossoms, but Alexandria has a distinctive tour that brings together the architecture of the city and the quickly-disappearing blooms. Cherry Blossom Pop-Up History Tours happen each weekend in April, and provide a unique tour of Alexandria while the beautiful flowering trees are in their full glory.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children for a meandering walk through the streets of Alexandria, complete with an expert guide highlighting the historical significance of important sites and the city as a whole. Tours depart from the Alexandria Visitors Center, putting you right in the middle of Old Town for additional activities before or after the tour. Snap a few photos, learn about the city, and catch a few last scents of the cherry blossoms before they disappear for another year.
To reserve your spot on the tour, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Since this is a pop-up tour, times will be announced one week prior to the reservation.
